Approval of the 2023 Employment Plans in CLM with the aim of creating 11,490 new jobs (Castilla-La Mancha, Company)

The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, announced this Tuesday the approval of the final resolution of the plans for employment 2023 which will have 94 million euros from the board of directors and the provincial councils, in the goal of generating 11,490 jobs in the region.

“I remember that it is a plan approved by consensus with businessmen and trade unions”, underlined the head of the regional executive during a press conference in Ocaña on the occasion of the celebration of the Itinerant Governing Council, which criticized the opposition’s rejection of its development.

“It will give employment opportunity to a multitude of people who do not have the capacity to be employed, even with the minimum requirements, in private companies,” he added.

The 94 million euros available to the plan will be provided 73.5% by the Régie, 69 million euros, and 26.5% by the Provincial Councils, i.e. a total of 24.9 million.

Furthermore, as announced last July, the new Employment Plan provides for an increase in the sums that will be paid to town halls for hiring, from 7,700 euros during the previous call to 8,200 euros.

García-Page highlighted the contribution she makes to the development of the region, stressing that, whatever her importance for thousands of families, “she helps the municipalities a lot to carry out their work”.

During the press conference, the president of Castilla-La Mancha also announced a “significant” deployment of investments in the educational works of the region which will be launched throughout the months of December and January 2023.

“Today, in addition, we are giving the green light to 18 investments in education”, he announced in this regard.

The President took advantage of the celebration of the Itinerant Government Council in Ocaña to highlight the works and projects that will directly affect the Municipality of Toledo.

“A first that must be the reform and expansion of the IES Miguel Hernández”, announced García-Page, stressing the need for this investment given the population growth in the region that demands more educational places.

“But also, today here in Ocaña, I acquire the commitment to approach in the next legislature something that we will start with the drafting of the project next year, which is the third institute of Ocaña.”

In addition to these two new educational resources “which are very important for me because they will absorb the growing population”, the regional president indicated that “it is linked to another important commitment that I made with the mayor of Ocaña, the development of two million square meters of land” for two industrial development actions, called Ocaña Norte and Mesa de Ocaña.

“We will sign a protocol with the city council to streamline urban and environmental procedures,” said García-Page, who added that if this whole project comes to fruition “as we think” it will mean 3,000 new jobs in Ocaña and throughout the region.

In this context, the head of the regional government stressed that this development will also involve the strengthening of public services, the aforementioned educational and health services. Thus, and after recalling the poor conditions in which the “practically buried” specialty center was found, he assured that this center has now recovered and is carrying out some 50,000 interventions, 15,000 more than four years ago. and “we will have to continue to develop this specialty center, a center that is already first class”.

On the other hand, and in response to requests made by the mayor, Eduardo Jiménez, the regional president also expressed the commitment of the Castilian-Manchego government to improve transport in the city and announced the imminent signing of an agreement in order to that Ocaña has a bus service station “in condition” and “it will be a reality in the next legislature” and “we will assume the commitment to significantly increase the line between Toledo and Ocaña of intercity transport”.

“The Minister of Public Works, Nacho Hernando, will come to present the content and the figures of an agreement to assume these commitments”, indicated García-Page, adding that “we will sign it in the coming weeks, taking advantage of the inauguration if possible of the new TAC of the center of specialties” which is currently being filmed and which calls for greater specialization.

Finally, the regional president indicated that “in addition to these many problems addressed, in two months it will increase significantly, thanks to the agreement of the Basin Plan 2022-2023 signed with the central government, the Aranjuez-Ocaña -Toledo” and added that “this will mean an expansion of frequencies”.
