This Thursday morning, the degree hall of the Duques de Soria campus hosted the presentation ceremony and the decision of the fourth edition of the Caja Rural de Soria chair awards for the best graduation projects (TFG) of the year academic 2020 / twenty one.
A total of seven works previously selected among the best of each of the centers that make up the Duques de Soria Campus have been part of these awards. All of them obtained a score higher than 9. The Director of the Chair, Blanca García, underlined the high level of the finalist works and the evolution of the Chair over the years.
“The awards try to enhance the talent of the different classes of the Soria campus, behind them there is a lot of work by students and tutors and the objective is to reward academic excellence,” said García. Thus, he highlighted the differentiating nature of these prizes by competing for end-of-study projects from different faculties and different fields of knowledge, which “raises the level of competition much more” and in turn complicates the “jury work”.
The prizes awarded by the CeI Caja Rural de Soria Chair have a total prize of 3,000 euros, divided into a first prize of 1,500 and two second prizes of 750 euros each. The first prize went to Gema Santamaría, supervised by Doctor Diego Fernández Lázaro. The said TFG represents the degree in physiotherapy of the Faculty of Health Sciences and with the title ‘Impact of intermittent normobaric hypoxic exposure at rest on sports performance, hematological biomarkers and detection of renal safety, in professional athletes who live and train at medium altitudes. Randomized single-blind clinical trial”.
The second prizes intend to reward in a particular way the innovative character of the TFG and its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this case, the winners were Adrián Hervás Moñux, for his work supervised by Dr. Lourdes Jiménez Navascués and representing the degree in Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the work prepared by David González Fernández and supervised by Daniel Baños Diez, representing the Diploma in Labor Relations and Human Resources of the Faculty of Commercial and Labor Sciences.
JURY
The jury for evaluating the award was made up of two members of Caja Rural, the funding entity, two members of the Rector’s team from the University of Valladolid and an external professional research expert. For this edition, the people who will make up said jury will be: Mr. Francisco Esteban Ciria, Vice President of Caja Rural de Soria, Mr. Javier Gracia Bernal, Director of the Invested Business Area of Caja Rural de Soria, Mrs. Teresa Parra Santos, vice-rector of the academic organization of the University of Valladolid, Mr. Óscar Martínez Sacristán, vice-chancellor for research at the University of Valladolid and Mr. Miguel Latorre Zubiri former director of CEDER and current deputy of the government in Soria.
In the act, the report of the activities carried out and financed by the Chair throughout the academic year 2021/22 was read.
FINALIST WORKS:
“Preparation of the bilingual guide (ES-EN) ‘Soria in a day: the city of Soria in a day according to the opinion of young people’, Prepared by Ms. Laura Carracedo León and supervised by Dr. Ms. Susana Gómez Martínez from the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation.
“Digital marketing strategy, promotion of real e-commerce and measurement of results”, prepared by Ms. Cristina García Gallardo and tutored by Ms. Alba García Gonzalo, Said TFG represents the Diploma in Administration and Management of ECompanies of the Faculty of Commerce and Labor Sciences.

Said TFG represents the Diploma in Early Childhood Education of the Faculty of Education of Soria.
“Advanced Nursing Practice and Shared Nursing Management of Demand Management Models in Primary Care.” Systematic review”, prepared by Mr. Adrián Hervás Moñux and supervised by Dr. Ms. Lourdes Jiménez Navascués. This work represents to the diploma in nursing sciences from the Faculty of Health Sciences. Second prize
“Installation of cogeneration with biomass for the optimization of production in a horticultural greenhouse with the use of CO2. Plot 323 of polygon 2 of the municipality of Narros (Soria) », prepared by D. Alonso Sanz Tejedor and directed by Drs. D. Miguel Broto Cartagena and D. Luis Miguel Bonilla Morte. The said TFG stands for the Diploma in Agricultural and Energy Engineering of the School of Forestry, Agronomics and Bioenergetics Engineering.

SCIENCE WEEK
On the other hand, during the week of November 14 to 20, the Chair, on the occasion of the celebration of Science Week in Castilla y León, is organizing an exhibition with the research projects developed with funding from the Chair throughout the 2021/22 academic year. The exhibition will consist of a presentation in the form of a poster in the exhibition hall of the Duques de Soria campus and a virtual gallery through the chair’s YouTube channel.
