In the province of Santa Fe, 542,253 jobs were recorded in the private sector in October 2022. This figure increased by 0.5% compared to September and 4.2% more than in October 2021. According to the official tally, there are a total of 2,490 people who entered the formal labor market in the last month. For the same period and the same sector, 52,503 employers were registered, an amount higher by 1.9% than in October 2021.
In this regard, the Minister of Labor, Juan Manuel Pusineri, said: “We had access to the employment numbers registered in the province of Santa Fe, in this case with the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) . With the AFIP, we are carrying out joint work which materialized a few days ago in the implementation of the digital payroll, but also in the exchange of information. Based on this exchange, we are able to say that the province of Santa Fe has maintained employment growth since mid-2020 until the last known data provided by the national body, which is in October of this year.
“Today, the province of Santa Fe has 542,253 private sector jobs. This, in addition to the positive monthly variation compared to September, also implies that in one year there are approximately 22,000 new workers. Without a doubt, this is very auspicious information for the province of Santa Fe, which has, in the management of Governor Omar Perotti, the decision to accompany those who produce and those who work, and the data provided by the collecting agency show us that we are on the right track,” the official said.
Asked about the management lines that are deployed to maintain the productive footprint of the province, Pusineri explained that “we have a very dynamic and efficient productive sector, in fact we are one of the provinces that enters the most foreign currency in Argentina. And along with the dynamism of the private sector, we must highlight the set of public works that are being developed, especially those developed with production and that have not been seen for many years, such as aqueducts, gas pipelines, railway lines, roads and cross roads have a very important contribution in this scheme; all the financing work for the private sector that has been carried out jointly with Banco Nación and the programs that we are implementing related to production and employment”.
And he continued: “Programs that range from training to the promotion of registered private employment, programs that aim to provide knowledge to the sectors of employers and workers; support for companies in trade fairs and spaces to promote our products and determined support for tourism. Today, we see that all sectors: industry, construction, services, tourism are registering increases in private employment”.
Finally, the minister alluded to the macroeconomic context: “We can summarize all this by saying that alongside a dynamic productive sector there is strong support from the provincial state, on several occasions in combination with actions of the National State, which allow us today to have these figures , which arise in a pattern which, in the middle of the year, began to become complicated due to the rate of inflation, the restriction of access to imports and dollars that businesses need. Even in this difficult context, and thanks to the efforts that the province is making in this regard, this allowed us to have growth in private employment recorded until October. »
