The fairs will serve to take the pulse of the illusion and interest of the citizens to recover one of the emblematic festivals of the city, converted year after year into a tourist reference, but also into a showcase of the traditions that the city of Cidacos was able to maintain over time. Once again, the exhibition center, together with different streets, will become the meeting point for all those who wish to take part in the different activities scheduled for three days, with proposals for all ages.
DEMONSTRATIONS
One of the pillars that support the October fairs is the importance of make visible the work and the craft product. Proof of this are the different stands that will be set up in the Plaza de Navarra in the Food and Craft Fair, as well as the various craft demonstrations that will be held in the same place. On Saturday and Sunday, this square will be the meeting point for all those who want to learn some traditional trades, since the bolilleras will show their know-how with their hands, as will potters, chair makers and stonemasons .
The stands installed on the Paseo Padre Calatayud will mark the start of the fairs, with a program scheduled for Friday that includes a fire bull, a professional ball game at the Ereta pediment, as well as a performance by Anthony Blake at the Tafalla Kulturgunea Cultural Center. The txistularis of Tafalla are responsible for announcing the fair on Saturday with the targets, in a day that will begin with the food and craft fair, will offer craft exhibitions and will end, among other acts, with the troupe of giants, the Malatxo txaranga, ski lift matches and the Musicata scheduled in the cellar of the Palacio de los Menco, where a winemaker will be in charge of guiding the tasting which will be accompanied by live music.
FAIR AND RIDING
A concert by the group Two Birds and a Trio, which will evoke Joan Manuel Serrat and Joaquín Sabina, will close Saturday’s events. And Sunday will arrive, the central day of the weekend, with a horse fair, horseback riding and a demonstration of archery on horseback at the fairgrounds. The day will again feature the food and craft fair, there will be craft demonstrations and children’s activities which, like Saturday, will focus on inflatables and different games.
