The Labor and Social Security Inspectorate of Navarre will multiply actions in 2023a year in which 24.7% of inspection activity will relate to occupational risk preventionwith a forecast of 2,143 service orders, representing an increase of 5.18% over the previous year.
The creation of two new specific campaigns aimed at protecting the health of workers stands out: Campaign on the prevention of risks derived from exposure to adverse environmental conditions and Campaign for the control of material health and safety conditions.
The Department of Economic Development and Business, within the priority actions of the Navarre Employment Plan 2021-2024, organized this Friday a occupational risk prevention day which had the participation of economic and social agents CEN, UGT and CCOO.
During the conference “Prevention in the DNA of organizations”, it was discussed how to integrate the prevention of occupational risks in companies and risk management, as well as the investigation of accidents at work from the point of view of mitigation, reports the government of Navarre in a report.
In the second part of this forum, corporate age management was discussed from a risk perspective. And, finally, technological advances have been demonstrated that could contribute to the improvement of risk prevention systems, as well as real testimonies of their practical application.
Help with prevention
In this sense, and with the aim of continuing to promote support and a culture of prevention in a transversal way in the companies of the Foral Community, the General Management has defined three areas of support to promote health at work. On the one hand, the promotion of the improvement of facilities and equipment, which benefited from a budget of 250,000 euros in 2022 and 39 beneficiaries, as reported by the Government of Navarre in a note.
On the other hand, aids have been promoted for the development of collaborative projects, through the figure of the territorial delegate for Prevention. During 2022, 2 initiatives were subsidized for the establishment of the prevention delegate. One presented by CEN and CCOO, and the other by CEN and UGT with the aim of improving occupational health in SMEs. From June to November 2022, 68 companies have intervened and the forecast until June 2023 is to do so in 92 companies.
Finally, 400,000 euros were allocated to promote union action in the field of prevention, with 4 beneficiary unions; CCOO, UGT, ELA and LAB. This call for help financed actions in the field of occupational risk prevention by the four majority trade unions in Navarre.
The Directorate General for Business Policy, International Projection and Labor recalls that other policies are also being developed and contribute to a greater culture of prevention, such as: the organization of the business congress in good health, the Reconcilia or InnovaRSE program, aimed at certain areas of people management that lead to fewer psychosocial risks at work.
