Specialists in the technology sector are essential job profiles in almost all companies today and some of the positions offered are very well paid. According to a study by Adecco, which analyzed wages in the technology and digital sectors in Spain, it indicates that essential positions have an annual salary of nearly 40,000 euros on average.

Data collected by the National Observatory of Technology and Society indicates that the number of ICT professionals in Spain is about 727,000. This figure represents 3.8% of employment in the country and three out of five employees in the technology sector work in programming, consulting and other IT businesses.


The Adecco report specifies that the most requested profile in the IT sector, with 2.2% of offers, is that of full-stack developer, who has an average salary of 38,600 euros per year. The best paid of the most essential is that of cybersecurity auditorwhich charge around 39,600 euros per year.

Adecco points out that there is a great imbalance between the supply of employment, which is significant, and the demand for qualified ICT professionals. The consultant believes that this situation will lead to a positive trend in wage growth in the sector.

“Among the reasons for this is the fight for digital talent among companies, and an increase in the number of Spanish professionals who choose to work remotely for foreign companies because they offer higher salaries”, they point out. in a press release.
