Valladolid Press Association (APV) today announced the XXVI edition of the National Prize for Journalism Miguel Delibes which, with Unicaja Banco as main sponsor, will be endowed with 6,000 euros. The deadline for submitting papers will remain open until November 11 andOver the next few weeks, the rest of the collaborating entities and companies will be known.
The prize jury, which recognizes the value of work focused on defending the proper use of the Spanish language, which “makes it unique in its thematic field”, will meet in December to select the winning work.
The delivery gala will take place in Valladolid on dates close to January 24, 2023, feast of Saint Francis de Sales.
As in the last editions, they will be able to present Framed proposals in any journalistic genre in Spanish which have been published or broadcast in print, digital, radio or podcast and television media in any locality of the national territory, between November 2, 2021 and October 31, 2022.
The communications presented must refer, in a generic way, to the the importance of the proper use of the Spanish language or Spanish language in social media, to the defense, extension and survival of our language in them and to the correct use of the language in these informative instruments, according to the bases of the XXVI edition.
Nominations can be submitted for an individual work or a grouped collection under the same title. If the same author submits several proposals, he must explicitly indicate whether the evaluation must be made individually or whether it is a grouped application.
Terms
The works of the written press will be presented on the original full page of the newspaper which published them, in which the date of these can be seen. In the case of digital media they will be presented on a printed page of the capture of the digital medium where they were publisheds and each work must be accompanied by a certificate in which the digital medium certifies the date of publication.
It therefore refers to radio, podcast and television works will be presented on a storage CD or USB key with the sound or video file of the program or section and each must be accompanied by the script and a broadcast certificate with the date, time and channel that broadcast it.
In any case, it must be accompanied separately by a sheet containing the author’s personal data and a brief curriculum.
Price History
The prize, which has in its list of winners figures of letters such as Fernando Lázaro Carreter, Juan José Millás, Luis María Ansón, Ignacio Camacho, Iñaki Gabilondo, Pepa Fernández or the Argentinian Martín Caparróswas created on May 22, 1996 following an agreement by the General Assembly of the Press Association of Valladolid on the occasion of the commemoration of the IV centenary of the granting of the title of city to Valladolid and in accordance in the congress ‘El Spanish and the media’, which included the participation of the PAV.
